Christmas at Grandma's

This is Christmas at Grandma's. First, her Christmas Tree in the main living room is filled with handmade ornaments that she made herself.
Then she has this tree in the hallway for the side entrance to the house and this 1/2 tree on the wall in the kitchen. The 1/2 tree has all Santa Clause ornaments.

She also has hundreds of Santa Clauses through out the entire house - lots and lots of them - pictures cannot do the display justice, but here are a few.
Grandma also loves bears and has a beautiful Nativity Set.
Then, of course there are the gifts and the littles.
Finally, here is the humans annual family portrait.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures.

Happy Holidays

The Mommy said she is all done shopping and wrapping. (I liked chewing up the wrapping paper so The Mommy hid all the presents and paper in her closet). The Mommy, Daddy and the Littles are visiting with family on Christmas Eve and then going to Grandma's on Christmas Day. The Mommy said she will be sure to take pictures from Grandma's house because she has hundreds of Santa Clause's that she displays every year. She also is the one that gives TONS of gifts.
Happy Holidays to all and I will be back to post again after Christmas!
Wishing you lots of pug love and me lots of doggie treats,
Rosie

Last night and the Santa Patrol

Last night was crazy and exciting! There were lots of sirens and flashing lights outside. The littles were running around the house looking out all the windows. I ran around following them because it looked like fun. They were saying there "he" is and here "he" comes. They said "he" was riding on a big red truck. I never actually got to see "him", but I felt the excitement so much so that I did pee pee on the floor by the back door. Whatever "he" was doing it sure got the littles all riled up!
I also got a bath last night. The mommy said that I was stinky and since I was digging a big hole in the backyard that I had to get a bath if I wanted to sleep in her bed which of course I did. The bath was very warm and nice. The mommy even put me in my nice warm sweater after I was all dry. :)

Christmas Past

The Mommy was looking through some old photos of before I was born and found this one of the littles from 2004. The Mommy said this was Christmas morning and they thought they were so funny because they were sitting in each others seats (Spiderman and Dora). Those seats have now become mine and I sit in them often. My Mommy said that I kind of look like Dora - what do you think?

The Mommy then found this photo from Christmas 2007 from Grandma's house and Yes, those are all of our presents. We ALL love Grandma's house!
Finally, this is the littles from this past summer. You can tell that they have grown from 2004 quite a bit. Also, notice the living room. Same fireplace different everything else. Mommy said that was last years income tax project.
This year she said we will be lucky to have jobs (whatever that is).
Well hope you enjoyed my Christmas Past Tour.

My First Blog Award

Just when I was feeling under the weather, my good friends Winston and Clementine gave me this very special award. It is so special because it is my first blog award EVER!! It is the Lemonade Award:This award is passed to bloggers for showing great Attitude and/or Gratitude.
Thank you so much Winston and Clemmie!! I love it!

Tummy Trouble

I do not feel so good today. It was either the cats food or the pillow stuffing that I ate yesterday. I got sick and have been going poop outside a lot. I will be resting today. I don't even want a good girl cookie.

Mommy said if I get some sleep and stick to my puppy food I will feel better.
I will listen to mommy (at least until I feel better)!

Weekend Update

The mommy took me to the dog park again this weekend. I think she likes to go as much as I do. We will have to remember to bring the camera next time. The littles come too. They like to climb in the trees while I run around and around with the other dogs. There was this one dog there this weekend that kept barking at me. I was not sure if he liked me or was yelling at me! He looked like this:
He was not barking at any of the other dogs - just me. At first, I thought he wanted to play but, then he had a little bit of an attitude. I just snorted in his face and smelt his but. The mommy said that I put my nose where it does not belong and that is why he was barking at me. I guess he does not know Pug lingo.

Sixth Photo Meme

Two of my favorite pug friends Winston and Clementine tagged us for the "sixth photo" meme. The idea is to go to the sixth folder in your picture folder, and go to the sixth photo. Post it and give the background on the picture....
This is one of the littles at Libby Lu. She was invited to a Birthday Party there -Libby Lu is one of those places where the girls go and get dressed up, make up, hair, etc. This little is not much of a "girly girl" so she was not thrilled with the dressing up, but she was a good sport and enjoyed herself in the end! The other girls wore boas and dresses - this little chose a pink T-shirt and kept her shorts on!

Holiday Decorations

This year the littles and the daddy put up and decorated the tree. The Mommy was out shopping and came home and it was almost all done. As you can see, many of the ornaments are on the same branch but the littles were so proud of themselves that the Mommy did not have the heart to change anything around.
They also hung the stockings. (see my bed underneath - I hope Santa does not step on me).
This is one of the Mommy's favorite ornaments - I don't know why since it is not a pug.
Since this is my first Christmas, I think we need to get a Pug on this tree to celebrate me.

The Littles Gingerbread House

The littles decided to make a Gingerbread House. Although they are not as talented as these folks Goodboy Norman Featherstone: 2008 Gingerbread House Competition, I think for 5 and 7 it turned out quite nice. Plus they were very proud of themselves and me of them!
Here they are hard at work:

And here is the finished product. This is the front of the house (both sides) - notice the gummy walkway and Christmas wreath at the top.
Here is the back - nice window boxes.
and their favorite the roof top.
Mommy helped them a little with mixing the icing, but they did most of it all by themselves. Pugs were not allowed to help. I think they thought I would eat it all. They are probably right!

Extreme Pug

I was viewing some YouTube videos with my Mommy and came across this one which looks very scary. I think my pug feet should stay firmly planted on the ground. How about you? Would you like to fly like the extreme pug or are you a land lover like me?

Weekend Plans

This weekend is the Pug Meet up!! I am very excited to play with all of my pug friends. Hopefully the turn out is good especially since it is going to be cold outside. Mommy said she was going to buy me a new sweater for the occasion. I will try to get some pictures to share with you next week!
Have a good weekend everyone!

A Pug Poem by Rosie

The Mommy is mad at me today because I like to eat her bedroom rug and I actually got it lifted off the floor today. I was so happy to finally get it free, but the Mommy was so unhappy with me.

The Mommy is mad at me today because I like to pee on the floor and won't go outside all the time to pee. I like to pee in the house because it is warm in there and it is so cold outside. The Mommy said no pee pee to me.

The Mommy is mad at me today because I like to chew on the Christmas Tree and all of the Ornaments. They are fun to chew on in place of my bones. The Mommy says if I eat the Tree, she will yell at me.

The Mommy is mad at me, but she always kisses me. I guess I am so cute she can't resist. :)

Christmas Meme

Hi - this is the Mommy. I have seen these meme's on some of the other pug blogs, so I decided to take over for Rosie and join in the fun.

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper for the kids and gift bags for the adults.

2. Real tree or Artificial? Artificial because it is easier and the cats like to climb in the real trees.

3. When do you put up the tree? It is already up.

4. Wreath on your door? No - a bow. The wreaths are always too fat to fit between the door and storm door.

5. Do you like eggnog? Yes, but it does not like me (if you know what I mean).

6. Favorite Christmas gift received as a child? A Mandy doll. My cousin got one and I wanted one soo bad. My godfather ran out and got me one that night.
7. Easiest person to buy for? My kids - they supply a large list to choose from.
8. Least easiest? My Mother and Step-Father in Law. They already have everything.
9. Do you have a nativity scene? Yes, but never put it up.
10. Mail or email Christmas cards? Mail, although I am not that into it this year.
11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? A candle in a spool of yarn.
12. Favorite Christmas Movie? The old Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph Cartoon that are on during the week in early December.
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? Almost done.
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Only toys that my kids never opened and we give them to Toys for Tots.
15. Open presents on Christmas eve or morning? Morning after Santa brings them all.
16. Lights on the tree? Yes - our tree is pre-lit with colored lights - AWESOME for a working Mom!!
17. Favorite Christmas song? Little Drummer Boy
18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Stay home and go to local relatives to eat.
19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer's? Of course - I have 2 children.
Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen, Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen. But do you recall - the most famous reindeer of all - da da da da - Rudolph...
20. Angel on the tree top or a star? Angel
21. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Cookies
22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? Hiding the presents (wink wink).
23. Favorite Tree ornament, theme or colour? I have a glass Elephant ornament that is so cool. I will take a pic and post for you all to see. I also love the home made ornaments that the kids make. Soo cute.
24. Favorite for Christmas dinner? I like spiral ham and the stuffed bread that my mother-in-law makes. Yummy!
25. Brussels Sprouts - love or hate them? Hate.
26. Favorite accompaniment to the Christmas Pud? Not sure what Pud is sounds interesting ????
27. Favorite Christmas Carol? Sorry, I don't Carol. I think the neighbors would run away!
28. Your very Favorite Christmas Thing? Leaving the cookies and carrots for Santa and his reindeer and the kids faces when they come out on Christmas morning and I always video tape them!!
29. A Christmas wish! Health and Happiness to all.
30. Tag a Seasonal Six! - Join in if you want!

Thanksgiving Pictures

My Mommy took these Thanksgiving pictures. This is the place where I did not get to go. Notice the very nice fireplace and dining room. Also, notice all of the Turkey that I did not get to eat.

This is Bella and Max (my cousins). Max looks mean, but he is actually a nice Pug. They got to eat the Turkey shown above. They are like my grandparents age so, I guess they deserve all that Turkey.

I will have some more pictures posted tomorrow. Please come back and take a peek!

I'M BACK

Hi - I am back. Well Mommy is back to turn on the computer so I can blog again. I have some pictures to post, but I forgot the camera in the car so maybe tomorrow I will put them up.
Mommy went to our cousin's house for Thanksgiving with the littles and they had a lot of fun. They even got to see my two pug cousins Max and Bella. Mommy took some pictures of them and boy did they get gray!! I will post them tomorrow so you can see what I mean!
I stayed home with Daddy and we ate and slept and ate and slept - perfect weekend for both of Us! We also bonded by passing gas together (another Daddy and Pug special moment)!!
Mommy came home on Saturday and took me to the dog park - there were a lot of little dogs there to play with and I ran and ran and ran - it was GRRRRREAT!
On Sunday, the littles and Daddy got the tree from downstairs and put it in the living room. Then the littles decorated it with all of these shiny things! They put me in my crate while they were taking out all the stuff because I am very nosey (well that's what mommy said)!! So, when they let me out I had to go and see what all of this stuff was - the cats even like to lay under this tree. Mommy told me not to pee on it. I thought that was weird because I don't pee on trees (I am a girl). Silly Mommy!!
