Weekend Update

This weekend was a great one.
My family took me out for a couple of car rides. We went to get something for one of the little humans because she was sick and I got a cookie and then we went to get the car washed and I got another cookie - yummy for me.
Then the next day we went to this place http://www.caninesleepover.com/ which looked like a lot of fun. The ladies were very nice and gave me lots of hugs and kisses. I even got to play in their yard!
Then yesterday, the little humans had some of their friends come over and I got a lot of play time. We even went to this place http://www.petco.com and I got some treats. While visiting http://www.petco.com - my mommy saw a loose animal with a long tail running around the store so she put me in the carriage. We then went and told the manager because the animal we saw was not a pet - YIKES!

Things I have Learned

Since moving into my home, I have learned so many new things. This week some of the things that were especially interesting were:

1) The little humans rooms are filled with chewy toys.
2) The felines can jump very high.
3) This ugly thing catches lots of bugs.
4) All car rides are not for fun.
5) Make sure mommy does not forget my poopy sample when going to see the doctor.
#5 is the most important. Well that is it for now -
Have a Woofy Weekend! Rosie

Dangerous Toy - Warning

I am cross-posting this message:

Please post this link to everyone you know that may be affected by this dangerous toy alert!

Please look through all of your dog toys and make sure that your dogs do NOT have access to a toy called the Pimple Ball with Bell (Item #20227-001, UPC Code 0 4566320227 9) manufactured by Four Paws Inc. (see picture)
This toy has been responsible for seriously injuring at least two dogs, one dog had to have its tongue amputated. Click here to read about Chai's ordeal after his tongue became stuck inside the ball, and the subsequent amputation of his tongue (please note, there are graphic pictures of the damage caused by this ball)

The design of the ball creates a vacuum while the dog is chewing on the ball and the tongue becomes stuck inside the ball causing constriction and swelling. Chai is not the only dog that has been injured while playing with this ball. Concerned dog owners have contacted the manufacturer of this toy. The company stands by the toy, but has claimed that they are voluntarily recalling the toy to retool it so that it is safe. They claim to have contacted their distributors and told them to return their stock of this toy until the retooled toy can replace it.
We are unsure as to when this voluntary recall was enacted, but we've done a google search (as of 20 August 2008 at 7 p.m.) and have found up to 22 stores that are still carrying this product.

Please crosspost to every dog owner that you know and warn them of this toy. If you see this toy in a pet store, please notify the manager that this toy is considered dangerous and that the manufacturer claims to have voluntarily recalled the toy. Have the manager contact the manufacturer directly and encourage them to remove it from the shelves.

If you see someone on the Internet that is still selling this toy, please feel free to e-mail them with the following:The Four Paws Pimple Ball with Bell (Item #20227-001, UPC Code 0 4566320227 9) listed on your site has severely injured several dogs. Allen Simon, the President and CEO of Four Paws Inc. has responded to e-mail inquiries and has assured his customers that it is voluntarily recalling this toy and says it has notified its vendors of this recall. We would not like to hear of other dogs being injured by this toy, so please remove this toy from your inventory, and if possible, notify your customers that this toy can be dangerous to their pet. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Haley Birk or Mr. Simon directly from their Web site: http://www.fourpaws.com/ or calling their number at: (631) 434-1100.

My "Business"

I heard that my Dad was afraid that my "business" would ruin his green stuff. But look what happened -

Perfect Weekend

I had a great weekend with my family. We spent a lot of time outside which was great fun since the felines stay inside (he he). As you can see, I spent my day inspecting the pool and sleeping on the lounge chair. What a great life.
Then when I woke up - I got to play with this little human (what a character!!)

Before I was adopted - I had a real job

Things I have Learned

Since moving in with my new family these are some of the things I have learned:
1) The humans call the "Green Stuff" - Go Potty Outside. I picked this one up pretty fast when they kept pointing at it and telling me "Go Potty Outside". I like to run around on the Go Potty Outside with the little humans.
2) The little humans have nice big wee wee pads in their rooms. They usually keep their doors closed so when they do finally open them, I run in there and do my business really quick.
3) The felines are good boxers.
4) The felines have yummy food.
5) The felines are not very smart - they like my food better then theirs. (he he)
6) The old feline is still in hiding.
Well thats it for now - have a woofy weekend!

Truce

The felines were here first. I am the new comer to this family. I have decided to try and make friends.
I hope they fall for it!

Gotcha

I got some pictures of the felines. This is the dominant male. As you can tell he does not like me very much.
This is the Queen. She is my rival being the only other non-human female in the house. This is the old male. He is experienced and will be a hard one to catch on camera.

The dominant male

I have been trying to get a picture of the felines, but they run away from me when I get up close. The one dominant male boxed me in the head a few times and I had to scurry to get away. I have to keep my eyes on him.

Humans and the Green Stuff

It has been a few weeks since I moved in with my new family. The humans are very nice to me and have been giving me good food to eat. They also bought me lots of toys. They are a little strange though because they keep bringing me to walk on this soft green stuff that tickles my feet. I try to run back to my crate but they keep putting me back on the green stuff. I walk around and smell things to try and make them happy but, they just stand there and look at me funny. Then I run around and the little humans will chase me which is lots of fun!

GREEN STUFF

The 3 felines are another story.....
