Off the top of my head

Hi Furends,

I am going to give an off the top of my head update on my life happenings in no particular order.

  • As you know, the mommy and I are on a diet. The Mommy is down 10 lbs. I am up and down each week. Currently weighing in at 25.2 lbs. The Mommy has been pretty good at following her menu plan. I eat whatever I can as fast as I can. This week I was able to steal the littles waffles and give the old brown eyes to the daddy for some pork loin. Not to mention all the treats and bones I get when the Mommy is at work. The Mommy continues to buy the diet food with the hopes I will actually shed a lb or 2.

  • Buster and I have built a pretty good friendship. I am like the older sister. When he barks, I run over like the older pug to handle the problem. But the problem is Buster barks at EVERYTHING. He barks so much the hoomans go crazy. He barks at the cats which bothers the Mommy and he barks at the littles which bothers EVERYONE. He is all bark and no bite though so nothing to fear, just plug your ears.

  • The snow. The snow is EVERYWHERE and never goes away. I don't mind it so much but Buster is afraid to leave the deck. Which is pretty sloppy if you know what I mean. Also, all that snow = no sidewalks and therefore, no walks for Rosie :(

  • Cats. The cats and I are slowly becoming less friendly. It must be because Buster and I made this Pug alliance and he barks at them all the time so that makes me on his side. I don't mind it that much though chasing them is a little fun (who said that??).

  • Finally, sleeping arrangements. I used to be the only one to Velcro to the Mommy but Buster being the baby is ALWAYS on her Lap and has to sleep attached to her hip so I just moved down to her leg at night and squeeze on the lap during TV time. I am a good sharer.

P.S. I really need to get some Buster pictures on this blog. Coming soon...

We are Going Down Down Down Down Down

This week's weigh In: 24.6. I am down .8 from last week.

Plus, the Mommy lost another pound. Down 6 total in two weeks.

We are on a mission for 2011.

Other than diet, we have been taking our walks.

Buster and I have made a pact to antagonize the cats as much as possible and have been doing a great job. The hoomans are not so happy about this pact but, Buster and I think it is great. Whenever one of us sees a cat on the floor they are free game to bark and chase and the cats go running like crazy (he he). I know we should be nice this time of year but, we just can't resist the chase - and those cats are soooo fun to chase.

Hope you are all getting ready for Santa paws!
Sure hope Buster and I don't get any coal maybe we should layoff until after the New Year - hmmm Nah!

Who knocked the cookie box on the floor?

Rosie knocked the cookie box on the floor.
Who Me?
Yes You.
Couldn't be.
Then who?

Buster knocked the cookie box on the floor.
Who Me?
Yes You.
Couldn't Be.
than who?

One of the cats knocked the cookie box on the floor.
Who Us?
Yes You.
Why would we? when the dogs ate all the cookies!!

Good Point!
We need a Cookie Cam. There goes the diet.

Still here

I have been having trouble uploadings pics to my blog. Not sure what the problem is. I start to write a post and add a pic and the computer freezes up. Very troubling. So I have been staying away from the pesky computer. I am using moms phone now and it works but no pics either. I am looking forward to some warmer weather to get me out of this house. All the cat hair is getting to me. Hope to have the pic thing figured out soon so I can share some fun pics.
Talk soon,

Sibling Rivalry or Patty Cake

Notice that the female gets the last word (whack). This is what I have to live with everyday. Crazy Cats....
(if you listen you can hear me walk in at the end)

(ignore the hoomas talking in the background - something about one of the littles messy bedroom)

Think Positive, Think Good Thoughts, Think like the Dog

Someone at work showed this to the mommy today. I have to agree we should all follow the dog's approach at life especially during these trying times.

Entries in a dog's journal:
8:00 am - OH BOY! DOG FOOD! MY FAVORITE!

9:30 am - OH BOY! A CAR RIDE! MY FAVORITE!

9:40 am - OH BOY! A WALK! MY FAVORITE!

11:30 am - OH BOY! DOG FOOD! MY FAVORITE!

12:00 noon - OH BOY! THE KIDS! MY FAVORITE!

1:00 PM - OH BOY! THE YARD! MY FAVORITE!

1:30 PM - ooooooo. bath. bummer.

4:00 PM - OH BOY! THE KIDS! MY FAVORITE!

5:00 PM - OH BOY! DOG FOOD! MY FAVORITE!

5:30 PM - OH BOY! MOM! MY FAVORITE!

Entries in a cat's journal:

DAY 752 - My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while I am forced to eat dry cereal. The only thing that keeps me going is the hope of escape, and the mild satisfaction I get from ruining the occasional piece of furniture. Tomorrow I may eat another house plant.

DAY 761 - Today my attempt to kill my captors by weaving around their feet while they were walking almost succeeded, must try this at the top of the stairs. In an attempt to disgust and repulse these vile oppressors, I once again induced myself to vomit on their favorite chair...must try this on their bed.

DAY 765 - Decapitated a mouse and brought them the headless body, in attempt to make them aware of what I am capable of, and to try to strike fear into their hearts. They only cooed and condescended about what a good little cat I was...Hmmm. Not working according to plan.

DAY 768 - I am finally aware of how sadistic they are. For no good reason I was chosen for the water torture. This time, however, it included a burning foamy chemical called "shampoo." What sick minds could invent such a liquid? My only consolation is the piece of thumb still stuck between my teeth.

DAY 771 - There was some sort of gathering of their accomplices. I was placed in solitary throughout the event. However, I could hear the noise. More importantly I overheard that my confinement was due to MY power of "allergies." Must learn what this is and how to use it to my advantage.

DAY 774 - I am convinced the other captives are flunkies and maybe snitches. The dog is routinely released and seems more than happy to return. He is obviously a half-wit. The bird, on the other hand, has got to be an informant, and speaks with them regularly. I am certain he reports my every move. Due to his current placement in the metal room his safety is assured. But I can wait; it is only a matter of time......

Ode to Ottis # 3

The mommy was able to get a pic of cat # 3 Ottis (this is rare). He is a finicky old fellow that hides a lot. I have been told that he was a "scardy cat" even before I came to live in the house but, since my arrival he is full of anxiety and avoids me at all costs. I bark at him and try to catch him to show him I just want to play except he wants no part of me.
Ottis will be 14 years old this year. He had a brother Milo (of course) that died a few years ago and that was when the mommy found the other 2 felines. Then I came to the house.
I like the Ottis man but, he won't even try to be my friend - I guess he is old and set in his ways. Here are a few pics of the old guy.

(I still need to do a post about Gabby # 2 but I am trying to get a video to show you how nasty she is to me. She is always hissing and spitting at me!!)

Jet # 1 of the Three

When I started this blog, my intention was to talk about my life and how I am living with 3 cats. Many times, I do not talk about the cats because they are pretty boring. All they do is lay around all day and try to avoid me. In fact, only one of them will even come near me. His name is Jet. So today, I will blog about Jet so you can learn who he is and how I feel about him.
This is Jet:

As you can see, he is very, very, very hairy. So hairy, that I heard the mommy say that she has developed allergies to cat hair from Jet. Jet also likes to sit on the mommy's lap which is my favorite place to sit too so we fight for attention.
See us fighting:

We don't try to hurt each other - we are just play fighting. I enjoy these scuffles since I do not have another dog to play with even though I know I could whoop him good if I wanted too. The mommy says "Rosie be easy on him".

Jet is 1 years old and lived in the house before me. He stays inside, but lately likes to sneak in the back yard - I think this is because he sees me go outside and is jealous. He also thinks that when I get a good girl cookie, he should get a kitty treat. I don't know why - he did not do anything good.

Jet also likes to eat my dinner which is not fair because the mommy puts his dinner up high so I can't get at it - so many times he gets to eat a little of both.
Jet also likes to sleep in my crate.
See Jet in my crate:

Yesterday, the daddy put me in my crate on his way out the door and locked me in their not knowing that Jet was in there too. We had to sit together in those close quarters for quite sometime until the daddy came back home. (Not Funny).
All in all I guess I like this hairy guy - he has become my playmate and companion. I would miss him if he accidentally snuck out the back door and got lost.
Coming soon - Jet's Sister, Gabby #2 of the Three

The Pug Is Away - The Cats will Play

Hello to all,

Please let me introduce myself. My name is Jet a/k/a "the male feline". I thought since the Pug was away today, I would make myself known to all of you. Me and the other felines were quite ecstatic to hear that the Pug would not be in residence today and have plans to celebrate. We understand that she will be returning in a poor state and do feel sorry for the little miss; however, we will also enjoy the quiet for today. As you must understand, we did live here first and the Pug was the newcomer to the bunch. I have learned to accept the snorty, snoring, big eyed pugger but, the others do despise her existence. We all do look forward to seeing her return with what the humans have been calling the "cone head". It should make for a good feline laugh.

Ta ta to you all.

Jet or as I like to call myself Sir Jetson of Jackson

Truce

The felines were here first. I am the new comer to this family. I have decided to try and make friends.
I hope they fall for it!

Gotcha

I got some pictures of the felines. This is the dominant male. As you can tell he does not like me very much.
This is the Queen. She is my rival being the only other non-human female in the house. This is the old male. He is experienced and will be a hard one to catch on camera.
