Off to Grandmawothers House I Go

Hi furends,
I am off to visit with my Grandmaw and Grandpaw. I can taste the yummy treats and feel the butt scratches already. Grandmaw is technologically challenged so I won't be able to blog. I will miss you all and see you in a week.
Grandmaw and Grandpaw even picked me up - here I am in their car.

I was giving them directions.

Bye mom - see you next week - love you.

Wave bye bye Grandmaw.

Uh Oh

Uh Oh.
I saw it.
It is getting closer to the bedroom.
The wicked suitcase is out.
Not sure what is going on yet.
It does not look good for me.
Wish me luck.

This guy here has nothing to do with my post, I just thought he was cute :)
I heard he got the ugliest dog award and I just wanted to state that he is adorable.

Good News, Bad News, Charity News

Hi Furends -
Good News
This weekend I earned me some super bonus points for leaving no deposits in the house. It was a rainy and cold weekend so the mommy was very happy with me for doing everything outside. She even brought me for a few car rides and gave me lots of praise and treats. Plus, no crate all weekend since the hoomans were home with me. Yeah!!
Bad News
I have a bumpy rash under my coat and we are not sure what it is. It does not itch me or bother me but the mommy is concerned. We are going to try a different food and see if that helps. The mommy gave me a bath too but the rash did not go away. I had this rash one other time and it went away in a few days. This time it seems to be here longer than the last. I told the mommy it could be my food and to give me pancakes instead, but she did not go for that one :).

Failed

So like the mommy left me out of the crate the other day when she ran out to the store.
She never said it was a test.

Later that day. Totally not fair.

(Note from the mommy - Rosie also pooped downstairs during this test she totally failed).

Wonderful Weekend

Hi Furends,
Hope you all had a great weekend like I did. For being such a good girl, the mommy took me for a ride in the car. I Love to go bye bye in the car - it is so exciting especially when she opens the windows and I can stick my nose out.
We also went to Petco and got treats and a new collar for me. I have been escaping from my harness so she got me a collar to try out. It is purple (I think I know a certain Sibe who would LOVE it).
I also went to visit my good friend Neptune but the mommy forgot her camera when we went for the visit. Here I am in the car: - Hi

and the best thing of all about this weekend - I was not in the crate at all since the mommy was with me 24/7. So guess who was.......
stoopid cat. BOL.

Up To Speed

Hi Rosie Here,
As you all heard I have been locked up in my crate and the mommy has been hacking into my blog. I have been a VERY good girl and have been following all the "good dog" instructions like going outside to pee and poop, not chewing on the furniture, etc. but she STILL is putting me in the farkakte (S-dog word) crate. I even have been going to my "old" bye bye spot on the couch where I use to go lay down during the day when the mommy was at work and she is still not getting the hint. I thought this morning she fur sure would have let me stay free but no she scooped me up and put me in the crate. *sigh* How long will this go on????

On a happier note, as you can see from yesterday's pictures with Jet he is all healed up (if you don't remember what happened to the poor guy look here). He is back to his old self (and he smells good too). He is still a little on the stoopid side though - can you believe that when the mommy lets me out of the crate he actually goes in their to sleep - what a cat turd. BOL.

Well finally, I will leave you with some pictures of me playing with some toys I found outside in our yard yesterday. Windy Days Rock!!!

Harmony

Hi Everyone,
Rosie's Mom again today. I want to thank everyone for their comments and good advice. This weekend was a success with Rosie's training. We crated her when we left the house and paid strict attention to when she had to go outside and there were no accidents. We also spent all day Saturday cleaning the carpets down stairs and they look and smell delightful so we are being extra careful with watching Rosie's every move. This morning, I had her outside and she went #1 and and then wandered around the yard a bit. She came in and ate her breakfast. Then I saw her sneak off to go down stairs. I followed her and caught her before she did anything but, she was certainly planning on leaving a poop down there so I took her right outside and she went in the proper place. I think she will need this type of attention for a while before she gets it right. I did crate her when I left for work this morning and she seemed OK with it - I know she would rather lounge on the couch all day but oh well.
Thanks again and I will let you know how it all works out.

Rosie's Mom With a Question

Hi Everyone,
I am taking over Rosie's blog today because I have an issue with Rosie and I wanted to see how many others may deal with the same problem and I would like to get some suggestions.
The problem is potty training the pug. Rosie will be two in March and still goes potty in the house. She won't go upstairs but thinks that going downstairs is the same as going outside. Some days she will go outside with no problem but on others, I will have her outside for a long time - she will sniff away and then when she comes in the house will go down stairs and poop. Rainy days are the worst and when I am at work she was getting free reign of the house and doing a lot of her business downstairs.
We decided to start putting her back in her crate during the day and then letting her out for a long while when we get home. We started this yesterday and there were no accidents.
The problem is I feel guilty leaving her crated. She is usually crated for about 5 hours a day.
Do any of you crate your dogs while at work?
Is 5 hours too long?
Do any of you have this same problem? If so, how are you handling?
We really want to break her of this habit before she ruins every carpet downstairs.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks and have a great weekend!
Rosie's Mom, Kristy
